I Respect, Obey Bible More Than Nigerian Constitution – Dino Melaye

The Senator representing Kogi west, Dino Melaye, has said that he has respect and actually obey the Bible for than the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria, where he is a lawmaker. Melaye, however, urged Nigerians to speak out in the face so many injustices the country is facing.

Speaking on Sunday at the one year remembrance of late Janet Kikelomo Gbadebo, the wife of a Deputy Editor of Leadership Newspaper, Bode Gbadebo, held at the Gloryland Baptist Church, Lugbe Abuja, Sen. Melaye expressed confidence that would take over affairs of Nigeria.

“I want to say by the grace of God that the Church of God in Nigeria will continue to march forward. As an individual I respect the Bible than the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and I will first obey the word of God before I obey the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I know God will take over the affairs of this nation. My singular advice for all Nigerians irrespective of religion, sects and tribe is that we must all come out of our hiding, we must conquer fear because the Bible say He has not given us the spirit of fear but He has given us the spirit of boldness and that of a sound mind.

“I encourage us to practive this philosophy of mine that in an unjust society silence is a crime. When you see what is evil say it because if you say the truth you will die, if you lie you will die. So, it is better to say the truth and die,” Melaye said
